About the EF Department (Development Chassis)

We are competence partner of the Chassis development department of BMW AG. This department stands for innovative, agile and autonomous driving concepts, which we at WAY Engineering support with our team of experts.

Exciting development work

On the product side, the project covers all BMW derivatives, all Rolls Royce models, BMW M GmbH vehicles and all company cars. At the start of the project, a workshop property in Munich Milbertshofen was rented with sufficient capacity for test setups and modifications to prototypes. Our task lies in the tests and approvals, and the testing in Germany and abroad as well as virtually on the HIL test benches. The direct coordination with suppliers, the implementation of the ABK (display operating concept) regarding design, layout, validation and release are also part of it.

International development locations

An important part of our project work takes place at BMW AG's international development sites. In Arjeplog, Sweden, and at the Miramas test track in France, the TPMS is tested under extreme conditions.

Qualified team of experts

Our WAY Engineering driving expert team consists of specially trained employees who demonstrate their driving skills in their daily work. Special driver's licenses and training for current e-vehicles and hydrogen vehicles as well as the willingness to test the vehicles at the limit again and again are essential. With the help of special measurement technology, the signals from the vehicle are measured and evaluated.
In addition, our team operates simulated test sites.
